First of all you have to have a 2.5 mm Jack hole to plug it into. I have Panasonic cordless phones and most models have a jack hole on the handsets that the headset plugs into so you can roam the building hand free with the handset in your pocket. Check your handset for the jack hole. They do sell adaptors for 3.5 to 2.5 mm jacks.

Headset attaches to handset, NOT the base you put your phone back on to recharge it. It allows me to go outside and do gardening and other chores with both my hands, walk on treadmill and make phone calls, wash dishes while on the phone. I clip the phone, to which the headset plugs into, on my belt. But you have to make sure your phone has a plug outlet, not many phones do. Some Panasonic cordless phones have the little headset plug hole.

I wander all around my house and even a ways outside. The worst problem I have is that sometimes get the cord gets caught on the corner of a kitchen drawer and pulls the headset off my head as I move.
