You are correct. Once you overwrite it you cannot retrieve previous data unless you access to advanced forensic recovery hardware and software.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would be shocked if it did not work in this enclosure. I just installed a Crucial 2TB P3 nvme stick. Works great, but is not as fast as others. I didn't spend a lot on my NVMe stick becase I knew this enclosure wasn't rated for serious speeds. Still, formatted exFAT, I am reliably getting 900MB read and write on both Windows and MacOS. So about 8-10 times faster than standard SATA speeds. On your other question, remember that "deleting" means erasing only the *index* to the files. With software and some care, it's very possible that you could retrieve files from the NVMe drive from your Lenovo. It depends more than a little on how many files have been newly *written* on it after the deletions. Good luck with this.
