Yes - but … If you are planning to clone an existing drive, the recommended/supplied Crucial software will not recognize it. It looks for a Crucial drive to activate, and fails because it can’t see the drive in the USB enclosure. Other software (like Macrium Reflect) had no problem.

Yes, it works with any M.2 form factor 2280 NVMe Gen 3/4 SSD drive. Recommend for higher speed chips, like 5000MB/sec and up, that you make sure it comes with either a real built-on heat sink or one of those thick rubber-type material adhesive strips to place directly on the chip. If your system can handle those speeds, those chips get way hot.
