That's to be expected, because each generation of USB is backward-compatible. USB C is the connector. That doesn't indicate whether it's USB 3.1 v.2, USB 3.2 gen 2, USB 4 (which it isn't), etc. Best Buy needs to answer this in the published specs, because without that one tends to suspect that it's USB 3.0 in sheep's clothing!

Look under the 'Specifications' tab for this device. Marketing team really scheming people out of their money on this one..
