• This remote is for use with Xbox One, and only Xbox One. It doesn't matter what TV it's hooked up to. Insignia is only Best Buy's home brand, and the company that made this accessory. An Insignia TV is not needed with this, because it only controls Xbox One functions. And it only controls the volume of your TV if you have your Xbox set up to do so.

• It's for the xbox one. Not TVS. It controls functions on your console.. Navigating the menus, launching apps, playing pausing rewinding Netflix. Etc etc. Keyboard is great!

• This works for any TV since it syncs with the bluetooth of the xbox one console. No need to resync it with xbox after you switch from one tv to the next either. I've had it connected to 4 different TV's without changing anything.

• This is for Xbox or any device that you can essentially plug in a usb into because it has a usb received. I don't think it's for insignia tvs at all actually.

• I have a Sony 4kuhd TV. Works fine. It controls the Xbox one, not the tv.

• The majority of the functions here are meant to work with the the XBOX One itself, but you can program the volume and mute buttons to work with a variety of TVs. Works perfectly with my decade-old Vizio, so I assume it will work with most any brand of television. You can't program it to do anything other than that though-- it won't control anything on your TV other than the volume when you aren't using your XBOX One. So if, for example, you switched over to your TV's OTA tuner, you couldn't use this to change the channels or the inputs on your TV.
