        The item connects via Thunderbolt 2 otherwise known as USB c. Check your computer's ports before you make the purchase.

        I'm having trouble connecting to a Thinkpad. It seems to connect OK but if the screen locks the second display does not display on login. If I reconnect the VGA it displays but not if I reconnect the MiniDisplayPort.   (3 Answers)

          I used it to connect an Apple monitor to my laptop, I was using the wrong one so I exchanged it, there is two kinds of ports, you may have the incorrect one go to the store and I'm sure they will help you

          Yes it should, BUT, vga will not support hd or 4K. Also make sure the monitor will accept vga. You're probably better served getting a mac display to hdmi adapter.

            I did not have any issues with this product is it connected instantaneously. You may want to check your display settings on your MacBook.

            Its fits well but I do not know if it works when presented to a Projector. The mini display adapter if the PD94593

              Connectors are generic, and not dependent on any particular computer brand. If you are not seeing anything on the projector, chances are there is a setting that needs to be changed in the operating system or projector itself. also make sure your video drivers are up to date and the DP is active.
