• I use the adapter to connect my Surface Pro 4 to a VGA monitor. The mini-display port on the Surface Pro 3 and Pro 4 is the same, so the adapter should work on the Pro 3.

• It worked with my Surface Pro, so I would think it'll work on the Pro 3.
