“Hi, trying to see if this will work with the Sony A6000 camera. this camera does not have a stereo/headphone jack however it does have usb. The adapter appears to be some type of USB but only says go pro adapter. Thank you!”

Sorry no it won't work . Go pro cameras use a mini or micro HDMI hook up that looks similar to o small usb but they are different. Keep looking you should be able to find a adapter that goes from a 3.5 mm microphone plug to a mini usb though.
