Yes, this microphone is compatible with gaming consoles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I plugged it into my PlayStation 4 and went to settings to adjust mic volume. The bar was going up showing that sound was coming through the controller. So I would have to conclude that yes it will work with PlayStation 4 and probably Xbox One. The only problem that I see you having is if the in game sound is coming through the TV, it might also be picked up in the mic as well. So you might get some sort of feedback or people's voices that you're in the party with which could be kind of annoying. Just keep that in mind. But to answer your question yes, it should work just fine.
