“I purchased this converter yday. I'm connecting my TV to surround sound via a stereo/amplifier. The amp only has RCA audio output. Hence y I require this device. But when I connect everything, there's too much distortion in speakers. Any suggestions?”

Check audio settings on the TV, it must be taking the audio signal out on a Dolby digital or DTS format, look for a PCM option and select that one. I think that should solve your issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can think of two possibilities. Both the TVs I own have several sound settings in the setup mode. Try using one of the other sound setting to see if it makes a difference. Another possibility is that the stereo amplifier inputs are being over driven. Try using a different set of inputs such as AUX to see if that clears up the sound. On my Samsung TV I had to change the sound output to PCM in order to get sound instead of noise out of the stereo amplifier.
