Yes this is the similar reason why I purchased this converter. Free sound bar given to me but my TV had no coax input connections so by purchasing this converter I was able to convert from cable connections to digital
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't game, so all I can say is that you need to plug it in to some kind of amplifier that will then drive the speakers. I doubt the converter alone will be sufficient.
