Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Smutty - I’m not sure how to reply to your answer so I am hoping you can see this. I have turned off the speakers on my TV. I’m including pictures this time. I don’t have a optical plug on the TV which is why I had to get the converter with the cables. Not sure what I’m doing wrong or if my TV is too old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could be a couple things. Have you made sure the internal TV speakers are turned off? Another thing could be that it only converts one way, i.e. digital to analog and not analog to digital. I can check that part when i get home. I have the optical signal coming from my PC to speakers with RCA in my current setup, but i think i have other parts to test my theory.
