If you use the speakers from your Yamaha receiver, then run audio cables from your TV'S output to the wireless base, then run cables from the wireless base to your Yamaha reciever. This will let you listen at your own volume with the speakers on... or you can turn your speakers off and just listen through the headphones. This is how we have it set up.
