Yes and no (at least the way I hooked them up); but you can lower the tv sound as you wish. Makes it easy to boost one person's sound with the headphones while others listen, too, at different volume
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, I have used two different sets on two different TV's. The ability to turn off the TV speakers is within the TV itself but most modern TV's would have this ability. Most of the time, you can get into the TV menu, select an audio option and then select variable or fixed for the TV speakers. Variable will allow the headphones volume to go up and down with the TV volume control and fixed will allow you to turn the TV down and control the volume of the headphones on the headphone volume control
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You can turn off the sound on the tv and the headphones will still work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You plug the red & white jacks into the back of the transmitter, then plug the red & white jacks on the other end of the cable to the corresponding red & white audio output ports on the back or side of your TV. Plug the power cable into an AC outlet in the wall, separate from the outlet your TV power cable is plugged into. Charge the headphones by placing them on the transmitter/recharging unit. Once charged, you can listen through the headphones at whatever volume you select on the headphones. Anyone else in the room can listen to the TV's normal sound at whatever volume they so choose as they usually would. The TV speakers and the headphone speakers function independently of each other in terms of volume control. It all works this way as long as you have the red & white audio output ports on the TV. I hooked mine up on a TV that is a 2006 Panasonic. As shown in the picture there are two empty red & white audio ports on the right that I plugged into. Works great. I love these headphones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will depend of your TV, some TVs have several sound outlets, check your TV manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to go into TV settings and disable the sound coming from the TV speakers
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use these with a TV via the RCA connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can use these with a tv. If the tv has audio out red and white jacks connect directly, otherwise connect to your cable transponder box. As to "mute" you adjust YOUR headset volume on the head set and "ear" listeners adjust volume to their comfort level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When it is plugged into the headphone jack it will mute the speakers, if you plug into the RCA audio output it will not mute the speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
