“I own two of these great receivers: use one at home and one at the office. Trouble is they both appear with same name when pairing. need to "forget" previous device from the list, and pair again when switching between them. How can I avoid this?”

I cannot guarantee that this will work, but have you tried re-naming each unit in your phone? (I'm assuming that it's a phone that you are trying to pair.) Customizing the names will allow you to distinguish the two pretty quickly.
