“I have 2 new out of box insignia nsp4112 disc players . The trouble is both units won’t work with the headsets,I plugged in an external speaker to the out jack and it works,I plugged the head phones in to my iPad and they work. Can you help as to why”

My headphones work fine, but the auxiliary jack can be touchy. When plugging it into my car, I have to pull the jack partly out of the CD player & twist it just so. This is a brand new unit, BTW. Also has a lot of static in the playback. But I don't have a lot of choice, since my new car did not come with a CD player. Anyway, my advice is to play around with how deeply you set the headphone jack in the unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The jack with the green collar is for phones and the jack with the black collar is for an external audio system. I plugged in a pair of Bose earphones to the green collared jack and they worked even though the plug is slightly different that the one on the phones included with the disc player. Hope this helps.
