• Sorry, you need headphones or earbuds as there is no speaker. You could get a speaker that plugs into the headphone jack. Mine has no wrist strap

• No, portable cd players do not have their own speakers. You can purchase those at any store that sells electronics. The player does not come with any lanyards or shoulder straps. There used to be cases that you could buy to carry a portable cd player and extra cd cases, but I don't know if you can still buy them.
