“How do I advance to the second track on my CD? There is only one side and it just keeps replaying first track. Full CD is about 77 minutes which registers on my walkman. Second side is about same length. Is there a way to go to second track?”

have you tried the advance button? and made sure the mode is not on repeat? advance is button mark >>|. is that cd an mp3? if so, I am not sure it will work in this device. I always play those on my computer.
