If your vehicle is new, it does not have a CD player. However, it does have an audio input jack. This player is compatile with the new sound systems. It is compact and can be stored in a storage compartment or under the passenger seat. A 6 ft audio cable is needed to connect the CD to your vehicles input jack. You may also consider purchasing a power cable that will connect to your vehicles auxiliary power outlets. Eliminates need for batteries. I have installed one in a new Buick. Works perfectly. Older vehicles may require a different approach. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since the newer cars no longer have cd players -- the answer is YES. That is the only way I can use it with my car as I listen to audio books while I'm in the car. I also listen to music on CD's. You will need to use a cable from your car to your cd player.
