- Answer Good news! I just read your question, and decided to find out what would happen if I shut down in the middle of a track. I shut my player down, completely powered off. I turned it back on a minute later and it began exactly where I left off in the middle of a track.

- Answer It will resume from the same place you stopped at... that's been my experience, as I turn it off in the middle of a song sometimes, and when I turn it on, it picks up right where it left off, even in the middle of a track. I can see this would be great for story CD's.
