• I haven’t hooked mine up yet but the directions say the highest rate pixels it will show is 1080. It should work but cannot increase the digital output to the tv from its original format. Your tv (depending on your tv) should be able to show the less detailed format at the rate the original digital source (dvd or vcr) was saved. Your question is really about the capabilities of your tv not the adapter.
