- Answer It entirely depends on your system set up. If you are using the audio system as a set of speakers and the flow of signal is from the TV to audio system, you will need a HDMI to RCA adapter, not the other way around.

- Answer I would say no. I had my old stereo receiver hooked up to my old TV with RCA plugs, but for my new TV I used the (I believe its called) optical cable.

- Answer You will need an HDMI (ARC) to RCA audio device for this to work such as what you are describing. This is not the proper product to do what you are wanting.

QuestionGot this for VHS player at first it was working but it had a humming sound & the picture was dark so I unplugged the yellow and put it back in Now I have a blue screen and can’t get no picture at all and still humming noise could it be I need a newer cord

- Answer Selectable 720p or 1080p output enables RCA to be played on most TVs and displays with HDMI input. The technology has limitations and the picture will not be as clear as original 720p or 1080p signal source.
