If your TV has component video jacks or standard video/audio jacks (yellow for video, red and white for audio) it will work. You won't get the same quality as you would with an HDMI connection, but it will still play Blu-ray discs and streaming video.

If it has red and white audio inputs and a yellow video input, then you can use the same connections that one used to use with a VCR. They don't come with blu-ray players automatically, but you can get them at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Fry's or any similar place. You will be limited to a 480i picture, and won't have the blu-ray's optimal audio and video, but you can definitely watch all movies. If your TV has the Red/Green/Blue video inputs, you can buy these cables (same places as above) and your picture will improve to 1080i, and blu-ray's will have great picture quality. Just use the red and white audio inputs, and the sound will also be quite good. (Only HDMI cables have both audio and video inputs; so you'll need both sets of cables if your TV lacks HDMI input). If your TV has S-video, this unit does not have S-video output (quite rare these days), but it does have three connection options: HDMI, Component (blue/red/green video), and the old red/white/yellow), giving you some good choices.
