You can connect to a wireless router, by following the directions to select your router, and enter a security code (if you are on a secure network). It will remember the router and the code each time you turn it on. If you don't have a wireless router, you can connect using an Ethernet cable (if you are close to a router, or can use an Ethernet cable of sufficient length to reach the router or an access point (such as you might find in a hotel room).
