“What is meant by “single zone”?”

• A zone means a cook spot. You can only cook with one pan on it at a time. However, as both of the units I bought worked a SINGLE time, and then failed after the 15 day return date, I would highly suggest this product would not be a good choice for you.

• It means that you can only use one pan at any time. This product has only one heating area.

• It has a single "burner" - not multiple areas to heat like a conventional stove having four. This is more like a hot plate

• SINGLE ZONE simply means its a SINGLE BURNER

• Single zone means there is one heating area only The induction process focuses on pan in that surface area. The area is inside a white circle that is on the cooktop.
