I have not but know that if you are using a power inverter with solar panels they need to handle a minimum of 15 amps at 120 volts AC. Some systems use batteries to store the power but you still need 120 volts AC at 15 amps minimum.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have tested this unit with a modified sine wave inverter powered by batteries that had been charging with solar panels. This cook top operated perfectly. I have also tried a coil type cook top on the inverter. The coil type kept kicking the inverter breaker. My inverter is a 6000 watt with 12000 watt surge which is lot more than enough for this unit. With inverters it a good idea to not exceed 50% of it's rating.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know there are solar setups for whole house power. BUT. Doubt this will ever work camping off of solar alone. It can draw up to 1800watts. That is similar to a hair dryer on full blast/heat. So if your solar setup can run a hair dryer. Then this might also work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug your cooker into a dedicated power outlet with more than a 15A capacity 120V~ 60Hz
