Hi, GrayLass. Thank you for letting us know about your inquiry. This Adapter is designed to work exclusively with computers since it requires to install a driver to be used. Now, as far as the connection you intend, the only way to connect a modem/router to a TV is using an Ethernet/Network Cable (only and only if TV has such port). Alexander G. - Insignia Support
