I have a macbook air (mid-2014) running mojave, and i just got it up and running. The two issues were 1. the driver on the insignia site was not the latest driver, I had to go to to the displaylink site to get the driver for my OS, and 2. Ever since the Sierra update, apparently it blocks the use of this device or its software. Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy and look for a notice on that first screen asking for permission to let it operate. I have only had it up and running for a few hours now, but I am completely happy with it so far. Mojave isn't even listed as being supported, but I took a shot and it is working just fine,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want to use the adapter, you definitely need to download the software for it. If your mac doesn't have a cd-rom slot, you can download the OS version of the software here: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1478 As the other comment mentioned, be sure to check your security settings under system preferences > privacy and click "allow" for the software to download.
