This could be quite difficult. I don't have a DTV box to test regrettably. By searching their forums I see a lot of no answers about transferring recordings. Some of the HDMI ports are in, some are out. Often the USB ports may be locked. Another issue is that a lot of HD content is digitally protected and even if transferred may expire. Short story, if you buy anything, buy locally so you can return if it doesn't work. I would contact DTV before I put a lot of time and money into it to see if it's even possible.
