I would say that for the most part yes it does. I know that after a while the controllers can get loose but when my console is in the grip the controllers don’t move unless I’m being a bit rough due to a hectic part in a game or something. I know that without it my controllers would probably just slide right off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My switch still strong or healthy but I believe it will help you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It stops the wobbling you feel with the joy cons in portable mode. When you insert them into the grip make sure you hear that audible mechanical click from the system not the recorded sound the system makes, then give them a light tug to make sure they are seated properly. I have yet to have my joy cons all out, and the eject button for them is hard to hit by accident.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it eliminates the worry behind loose joycons when gaming
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I noticed the Switch has a slight wobble to the joy cons when they are attached in portable mode myself. When they are in this grip it holds them securely in place and there is no wobble. It actually fits slightly over the sides of the joy cons and it is a snug fit when sliding them in, just make sure you hear the mechanical "Click" from the unit and not the audio sound when attaching the joy cons or you might have them detach when in use. I love mine it's worth the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you put the screen in first then lock the joy-cons in place
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The grip secures the joycons with a ledge on the bottom, and it secures the Switch screen with a ledge on the top, never feel the joycons woble, only downside to that is that you are going to have to remove the joycons every time that you want to attach or detach the grip
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you mean joycons, my joycons aren't very loose, but the case makes it pretty solid since you're not supporting the weight of the Switch with the cons.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its not made to do so but yes. You have to have controllers off first when putting on then you slide them on after switch is put in. Holds it all securely.
