Yes, you can, it comes with optical cables, cables with mini-jacks and RCA adaptors. The optical cables give the best results. It is best to use it in combination with a sound bar, the Insignia sound bars are inexpensive and you can also control the Insignia sound bar with the remote provided with this speaker kit. It is AC powered.

Make sure you set your TV setting to PCN. If you choose Dolby it will work for TV but not with Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc. Also, if you have a hearing impairment, set the TV sound to “Clear Voice”, which really helps. Also, the remote must be pointed directly at the receiver to work. I have the receiver 15 ft from the transmitter.
