“Does the transmitter or receiver put out any power like an amplifier I have them hooked up to a set of Bose cubes now and they work very well but wondering if I can hook them up to a set of powered speakers for more volume”

It does put out power but the volume can be lowered to help negate power damage to the powered speakers. I currently have this the otherway. Rear speaker wires from my receiver to the transmission unit. So far no damage has been done. The receiver unit is only L/R speaker wire out.
