• I am using mine with my projector and I have to plug mine into the earphone jack. Works and sounds great!

• This should work and since the speakers are powered you will have plenty of volume. I used them in a situation where I needed speakers in the back of a room where there was a lot of ambient noise near the tv and they work really well.
