I don't understand why you need to use an ethernet USB adapter on a computer that has a Gigabit ethernet port on the right side. Also, this USB adapter is a USB 2.0 device. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster. I presume you have a cable with an RJ-45 connector on the end that you plug into the USB adapter. Why can't you just plug this into the LAN port on the computer? So my answer comes into two parts 1) USB 2.0 is a slower interface 2) why are you even going the USB route?
