- Answer I just tried it today and it did not work. It recognized that it was connected but said that the us superdrive needed to be connected to power. It worked fine when I switched it to a single usb-c to usb-a.

- Answer You will need it if the new laptop has only a USB-C port. Most Windows laptop have multiple USB ports.

Questionthat I see has 3 ports but the information dead only cdmi port which is correct I am looking for a usb c to HDMI. usb lighting just love the picture also at the Saratoga store do they have one for that price

- Answer If you consider 0.004 amps capable of charging anything. (verified using a Qualcomm 3.0 charger and cable that charges just fine until this is put in line).
