• yes it will work great for what you are looking for I would suggest it make sure that you do it in an open room to avoid an echo with the guitar.

• I recorded an electric guitar on the PC The guitar was plugged in to a amp The mic was set in front of the speaker Sounded pretty good I think the proximity was key
