“Is this comparable with Apple (iMac)?”

• This product does not work on an iMac. I purchased this brand because it was more affordable than the Apple brand, and it did not work for me, My iMac was up tp date with the latest processor and I used more than one usb plugs, but never got it to work. I had to return and get the apple brand in order to connect a second monitor.

• According to the insignia description it is compatible with Mac OS 10.12 or newer. It worked on a PC windows 10 Pro but at 30 Hz. This is good for text and photo but may be a bit slow for games and videos

• The tail is a standard USB port and will work with Apple, but the newer Macs have newer USB configurations, USB-B or C.
