• I have a Samsung 3 in an Otter case. It measures 3 inches almost exactly. The iPhone 6 Plus is listed at 3.06. I had no problem with it holding my phone.

• It will definitely hold your iPhone 6+. My phone is an LG G3, which is only 0.12in less wide than the 6+. This mount accommodates my phone easily, and could accommodate much wider phones with the same ease.

• I'm not actually in a position to measure the width with which the arms open, but it will indeed hold an iPhone 6 Plus. It holds my G3 in a case and still has a lot more room to open.
