I bought this mount out of necessity to use my phone for my job and to adhere to the local hands free laws. It is rather bulky in my opinion but it is well made. Holds my phone well even with all the pot holes and bumpy roads in the city. I use the vent clip but have never tried the suction cup window mount. Good buy.

I am very happy with its performance. I used the holder for several long trips and i am quite impressed with its durability and portability.

Do not use the vent. Not secure enough. When I was hit a pothole, my note5 slide to the floor. Probably secured on the dash if it is even would work however my dash does not do that either and I do not like the window alternative.

This performs flawlessly. I had purchased a similar one elsewhere & it didn't last 30 days. I'm glad that Best Buy chooses to carry QYALITY products!

I had issues with this item 1. Kept spontaneously falling off window with phone attached while I was driving!!! 2. Totally broke while not even being touched and not repairable 3. Waste of Money!!!!

I bought one for me and 1 for my husband on Feb 10th and 11th. Mine broke in April and his broke today. Both broke at the connection that swivels. Don’t waste your money.

Got this mount for my 2014 Moto X. I do not use a phone case. Out of three or four mounts I tried at Best Buy, this one seemed to grab my phone best/with the least effort and was actually also the least expensive so I am satisfied with it. I use the suction cup mounted to my windshield, which also has been fine so far (about 4 weeks) and has not shown any loss of suction due to heat or vibrations/bumps. The mount does cover the volume buttons on my phone (on the side), which may annoy some users but has not been an issue for me since I connect my phone to the car via bluetooth if I want to use it for music/phone/GPS while driving. This way I can change the car volume instead. As someone who occasionally enjoys a fast turn, I can say the ball joint pivot of the mount seems adequately stationary when tightened, and this was important to me when choosing a mount. I imagine this mount could accommodate any current smartphone, potentially with the exception of a Galaxy Note or iPhone 6 Plus, but even those might be okay. In addition to gripping from the sides, the mount also has small fold-out ledges on the bottom, so it is unlikely a phone would fall out unless the side grips have poor contact with your phone and you hit a large bump. I will note two negatives I have found to this mount: 1) I have also used an iPhone 6 with a hard plastic rounded case, and while the mount still works, it does not grip this phone as well. 2) The release mechanism for the mount does have a cheap feel to it, and I am not sure how long it will last before some plastic part breaks. I have to select yes or no for whether I would recommend this to a friend, but really I would recommend it to a friend *depending on their phone* and would suggest if possible that they try it in store first.

This mount has been dependable and sturdy and I’m very happy with it. I bought two of these. In my car it I am using the vent mount. It works perfectly. In my van I am using the windshield mount. In the past couple weeks the suction has held without any issues. One con is that it is a little bulky which is fine with me but might be a deal breaker for others. Perhaps due to the size, in the van it bounces and rattled if there is no phone in it. I don’t have the same problem using the vent mount in the car. Overall, it’s a good car mount.

Good cell phone mount for AC vent connection for the price. Installation is quick and easy with minimal force to get it to clip on AC vent. Sizing for practically any cell phone. Rubber gripping is excellent. The only negative is that it tends to shake a little bit.

I purchased this after my last one broke. This is upgraded from a previous version. Most changes are improvements on the vent clips and suction cup mounting which are now very flexible and make this easy to mount anywhere. This also seems to be more durable than the previous version. My only complaint is that the arms now have a stiff rubber padding that doesn't hold the phone as well and is hard to use sometimes because it's bulky and doesn't hug the phone like the foam on the older version. Overall though, this is a great universal phone mount and at a reasonable price.

I bought this as an open box item, so I got it for somewhere around 12 dollars. I thought it was going to fall apart like the last one, but it is really well made. It uses a suction cup with a pump button like one you would see if a cat burglar were scaling a skyscraper. That thing is not coming off the window. The arm itself is really sturdy stuff. I don't know what it is but it bends like a soft metal. The other end is a rubber grip that grabs a phone tight, but doesn't have to be champed each time once you adjust it to the right width. This is definitely the best phone holder I have seen.

The adjustable grip is a nice feature since, phone types and sizes are constantly changing. I like that I won't have to buy another car mount if I change phones. I have it mounted on a little side window on the driver side of my car and it works great. I now have access to various gps map apps and hands free calling/messaging/music without spending hundreds of dollars to update the gps that came on the car system. I have a charge port in my dash so the phone can be charging while in use and the cable is kept away from the steering wheel. The only negative is make sure you set it up before you put the vehicle in motion. It takes two hands to get your phone attached and properly fitted.

This wasn't my first choice for a vehicle mount for my cell phone but since the one I wanted was out of stock and this one was on sale, I decided to purchase this one. I just tried it on my vacation and so far it's pretty good once I figured out how to mount it to the vent. It holds my phone fine though I wish it would stay up but because of the ball it has it sits down a bit. I can still use it and see the GPS just fine so that's why I gave it 4 stars. It does the job but the style could be slightly improved. Will definitely keep it and use it those rare times I need it on vacation. Plus for the price, you can't go wrong (got it on sale and with a birthday coupon!)

It's easy to use, holds the phone well and is easy to get it in and out. The suction cup has not fallen off once since I've had it and it's been going on a month now.

I purchased the mount for use with my iPhone 6 plus. I wanted it for occasional use when I did not want to use my Tom Tom. The mount works well for my iPhone 6 plus holding it firmly in place while driving. It is a little wobbly on bumpy roads but still very usable. Be sure you read the instruction regarding the air vent mount that is included. The air vent mount is designed to be used once. It installs in an air vent but does not come out. So be sure you want the use the air vent mount VS the gooseneck mount. I use the gooseneck and it works well for me. Good mount for the money and the least expensive of the ones I looked at.

This wasn't my first choice. I picked this item without reading about it because the one I wanted was not in stock despite the app saying it was. But that's another story. The attachment to the window is very strong and employs a great mechanism making attachment easy and secure and release is also easy. The flexible neck holds position well under the weight of my iPhone 6S+ even with a case. (Unit instructions indicate no case is to be used but it worked fine with a case). However, while driving an SUV down the highway there is a noticible bit of shaking but not enough to make GPS/maps difficult to see (though you couldn't and SHOULDN'T text with it because of this). The grip sides are adjustable and have a flexible rubber coating to really grip the phone even with an otterbox case. However, the grips adjust outward using a push-button attached to a small plastic complex gearing mechanism. Once you extend the sides by repeatedly pressing the button to spin the internal gears you have to press the sides inwards until the phone is gripped. I think the tension put on the gears when you grip your device creates too much strain for the fine plastic gears and mine stripped on the first day after several uses. Now when I press the button the sides no longer extend. I have to repeatedly press the button while trying to expand the sides manually until the gears engage. Eventually at some point the gears completely disengage (indicating they are stripped I think) and I can open and close the mechanism without the locks engaging. Conversely, when I press the sides in to grip they do not lock unless I manage to engage the gears agin by technique of button pressing, jamming, squeezing and shaking the device. I am returning this garbage. A spring loaded mechanism would hold better in my opinion.

Perfect for the car, it will hold any phone, i have a Galaxy S8 with an outter box in it and it fit perfect, bumpy roads, no problem, practicly i drive like 3 hrs a day, and for the las month it just fell one time, my fault, i didnt cleaned the windshield properly, then i used some alcohol to remove any dirt or glue from the windshield and havent fell after that. Great product
