I bought this mount mainly to use while using FaceTime on my iPhone 7 plus. I wanted a solid, steady mount that wouldn't slip, and it hasn't disappointed! On a smooth, hard, non-porous surface the suction mount was strong and didn't fail. The clamping system and adjustable stalk seems to be good, but I haven't tested it in a car yet. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance.

It works with or without a cell phone case. It's really convenient, works with all types of smartphones, and reasonably priced.

Got this phone holder for my wife. We needed something she could place her phone in so it would be easy to see from the drivers seat. The holder comes with a suction cup and arm that could be attached to windshield or dash if it's smooth. We ended up using the vent mounting clip, also included in the set. The holder is large enough to hold a large phone, like an I6 or similar, as well as smaller phones. Easy to adjust for size and easy to release phone from holder when leaving vehicle.

Easy to install and easy to use. Fits my large Note 8. Just wish it held my phone a little more securely.

I previously bought an "as seen on TV" mount with the "sticky" back, but all that did was destroy the back on my phone. This mount has a MUCH stronger suction cup and a VERY firm, yet flexible neck that allows it to be positioned any way you need. It holds up well and does not bounce or vibrate like the other mounts I have tried. This should be the last one you buy. I have one in every car!!

For $20 you cannot find a better solution for mounting your mobile phone in your car. I tried one in my car and liked it enough to get one for my wife's car as well. I like the flexibility that permits the mount to be placed wherever you like it to be. You can easily move if from spot to spot on any glass surface. It is flexible enough to hold small phones like old school iPhones and larger phones like iPhone 6 PLUS. You can mount your phone in portrait or landscape mode, and change any time you like. There are two things I don't like that prevent me from rating this as a 5 star item: (A.) The extended arm that holds the phone does move up and down as you hit bumps in the road, so your phone will jiggle a bit. (B) I find it sometimes difficult to get my iPhone to be held firmly in the rubberized jaws. They open easily but close only when you depress two buttons simultaneously. If you change out phones of different sizes all the time this may be a hassle. Since I use the same iPhone 6 Plus all the time, I tend to leave the jaws in the position that is JUST tight enough for me to wiggle my phone into place in the rubber holders that line the jaws of the device. If I actually open it wide and try to close on the phone, the jaws don't always lock tight and the phone will fall out. But since I don't change the jaw openings, that is not a problem.

I tried to mount this in my car shortly after purchasing, but it's not as easy as it looks. I'm not sure if it's the way my vents are built or what. I got frustrated and haven't tried again. I'm giving this product a 4 because I have hope that it'll actually function as it says. I imagine the issue are my fault and not the product's. Also it was a great price. Bought in combination with other accessories and received a discount.

The phone holder is really sturdy. The holder provides good suction cup to adhere to the windshield .

I have tried other holder that mounts to the vent but did not like it. It does not stay in place, does not hold securely, and blocks the vent. This holder, on the other hand, stays firmly in place and holds the phone securely. This holder also may be attached at various locations without blocking the vent. However, it is a little bulky and may be in the driver’s field of view if attached to the windshield. It works for me.

Have used this mount in two different vehicles. Only used the vent mount option. Works great in the vehicle with the flat profile vents. The other vehicle has convex shaped vents and the vent mount clips tend to migrate toward the center where you slide them to remove the mount from the clips. Would be helpful to have a rubber or foam plug to insert into the opening to keep everything in place.

Too week- the air vent. I will use the suction cup. Overall, mIt is a decent product

I've never used one of these before and this was my first one. I liked this one because it's wide enough for me to hold my phone and keep it in the case. I have a big, wallet sized case. Not once fell out. Even when I got into my accident. You can move it around and put it in perfect position. A little long though, only negative.

This mount works but had nothing special. I used it on my UTV for trail riding and it did hold my phone. The suction cup held without falling once. The only issue I had was with the phone grip part. I had to really squeeze it closed to the point that it was very hard to get it open again. I assume if you're using this in a car you won't have to close it so hard so maybe it won't be an issue there.

Loving how easy this was to install in my vent. I was using another car mount that connected to the window. My phone would get way to hot while driving in the heat. The way this mounts to the vents, it keeps hot phone nice and cool. I haven't used the window mount that was provided. For the money, this is a pretty nice mount!

In my Toyota Corolla, there is only one place this would fit in the vent vertically. I placed it there and it works great. It places my phone at a good position to view Google maps navigation while driving without taking eyes off road for very long. Only problem I have is the release button is finicky - I have to press it several times until it catches. I can live with that and am satified with its performance.

It is a sturdier mount than my last one and the price was reasonable

I originally purchased a cd slot mounted holder from another company to be used in my 2017 Chevy Traverse. In concept it was good but was not practical as it blocked the touch screen on the radio and did not stay in the cd slot very well, it bounced a bit too much. So I set out to replace it with one that mounted on the windshield or air vent and was a bit sturdier. Best Buy had exactly what I needed. This holder comes with a suction cup for the windshield or an air vent clip. Since I was concerned about the phone blocking my view of the road with the suction cup option I decided to used the vent mounted feature. With in minuted I installed it in the car and had it holding my iPhone, its sturdy and doesn't obstruct my field of vision. The deep rubber grips make it easy to load just about any cell phone including those with a Mophie battery. The release can be accomplished with one hand thanks to the push button release. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in hands free cell phone operation especially if your car has the blue tooth option.

I really like the ease on release and it fits multiple phones, from a Note 4 to a 4s.
