We use this in a 2017 Subaru Forester - our older car had a built in GPS, but we elected to use our iPhones for this task in the new car. Voice control for Nav changes is nice - no one appreciates the security lockouts preventing a passenger from changing the GPS destination while the car is moving. We use the vent mount and had to remove the mounting pins from the mount to get it installed (not too complicated, but counter to the directions). Real problem is that it buckles under the weight of an iPhone 6 with a Mophie battery case, or an IPhone 6 Plus with a simple skin tight case. These aren't small phones by any measure, but they are accommodated by the mount and aren't heavy either. It's not bad enough to buy a replacement, however I would only recommend if you're using an extraordinarily small phone, or if you have a lot more patience than I do for your screen facing the floor. It was kind of functional when new, but getting worse with time (4 months in)

I originally bought an arm like this one but the part that holds the phone (head) broke but the arm was ok. Luckily the head from this one fits perfectly on the arm I already have even though they are different brands. Now I have a spare arm in case the other one breaks. It works really well and it holds my phone in place and doesn't fall out even on bumpy gravel roads.

This is a must-have 120% of the time. Google Maps for navigating while driving is always better than any built-in navigation system in any car. I've tried my share of mounts... This is by far, the best. It's the best vent-mounted and windshield mounted. Completely sturdy feeling. Solid piece of excellence.

This product really allows you to go hands free in your vehicle. Durable and very easy to set up. It is light but yet strong enough to hold a note 5 with otterbox case. I use the vent attachment and its been working great. Had this product for about a year now and would recommend to anyone.

Pros: Low price, window and vent mounts included, stable, good vibration damping. Use one mounting option per car and easily move cradle between two vehicles. Cons: Bulky, visually stands out more than it should due to size and amount of padding.

This vehicle mount is very durable in all types of weather. One complaint I have is after using for over a year the suction cup is wore out. I use mine for travel, and after taking it on and off the window it no longer will hold itself up on the window. It needs a two lever suction cup system like my garmin! Other then that it’s a good product!!!

Holds phone very well during driving hit a bump stays on good holder

This device makes it easy for me to use my phone's GPS without having to hold the phone while I drive, (which is dangerous). I love the fact that it holds my phone steadily in place. The only issue that I have is the suction cup does not easily stick to the window. I have to use a lot of elbow grease to adhere it to the window, and it's slightly difficult because my arms are short.

Insignia has pretty good stuff for the price. I needed this because I drive for work and needed my maps where I could see them. Suction cup holds well to windshield. The joint where the arm meets the actual holder a little floppy, but I installed it so it almost sits on the dash. I have not tried the vent holder because it wont work with my suv.

I bought an iPhone 7 and added an Otter box cover. The combined weight and size are too much for most vehicle mounts. I purchased this model before and it lasted for about three years before it needed to be replaced from too much Arizona sun. The one drawback is that, when there is no phone in the holder, it rattles constantly. Very annoying.

I bought this for my wife as I have one in my car and she wanted one for hers. Mine is an in-the-vent only kind where this one can attach to the windshield or the the vent. I first used this on the windshield and was a little surprised how much it swayed compared to the one I have in my car. Not terrible, but comparatively noticeable. Note, you need to take the thin piece of plastic off the suction cup before using it! I didn't and it eventually fell off while going down the road. I pushed the lever twice the next time and it lasted longer (still with the plastic on), but eventually fell off again. I'm a little concerned that the lever to actuate the suction cup is going to break over time, but OK for now. I read the instructions for mounting it on the vent and it says it won't be easily removed for use in another vehicle. I did mount it and then took it off again. Not real easy but not as hard as I feared. It doesn't sway quite as much on the vent, but it does stick out a ways from the vent/windshield because of the ball joint they use to adjust the angle, so some sway is inevitable.

It is very durable and easy to mount in place and adjustable.

I'd give it four stars. The suction cup works great on the windshield. But it isn't as easy to operate as I thought. It takes two hands to adjust the size and if you have a rubber cover, it kicks it out if you aren't careful. The gooseneck could be a little stiffer, having a charger plugged in pulls it down. Still does what I want, hold phone while driving.

This comes with adapters to either attach the phone holder to your car windshield (suction cup) or air vent (spring clip). Perfect for hands free quick access to your phone in the car. Easily follow navigation without holding your phone up. I've used an iPhone 5s & 6s & both fit great.

The reason I bought this Insignia Cell phone mount was to use my smart phone GPS feature. It holds well onto the windshield and the flex arm allows to adjust position nicely. The Jaws that hold your phone are just a little weak , but with practice will hold phone in place. The price was very reasonable. Overall it does what it is made to do, I like it !

I got this product so that I could use my phone for navigation whenever I needed to. We have a GPS, which is sometimes in the other car. This cell phone mount works great for what I need. It's only drawback is that it rattles a little over rougher roads. After a while, I don't notice this though.

Good phone holder, high quality material, can last around 2 years under heavy use and extreme weather. This is the second one I bought and Insignia is the brand I trust. I like the fact that it could be installed both on your dashboard and air vent.

Very durable and stable. It holds my phone without any problems, shaking. Suction function is very convenient. You can put and take off it whenever you want. It is worthy!

I had previously purchased a different mount with a magnet & that one was of no use to me because the phone would fall right off with any bump on the road. This mount on the other hand works great, the phone doesn't fall off & it's adjustable. I like how it can be placed in various parts on the vehicle which is convenient as well.
