Q: QuestionI gather that this device doesn't get updates direct from Google, but from Insignia's server. And that the updates need to be created for this device after the Insignia team gets updates from Google? If true, what is Insignia's commitment to this device?

Q: QuestionI understand that this has been asked many times, but I'm having random volume problem, also it does not show temperature at all (I did ask google about the temperature first). I wonder if there's newer firmware? The one I have has system firmware 105

• A:Answer I have the larger Insignia Portable speaker but this should work for your smaller speaker. You need the latest firmware... it's ver. 306. It fixed quite a few bugs. The way I understand it, you do a reset and it updates to version 306 during the new setup. Resetting also solved my volume up and down problem. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionHi, I don’t have WiFi, so would I be able to use my iPhone 8 as a hotspot and have this speaker linked to it, or must I have a WiFi network available? Just basically want to stream music from my I phone to this speaker when in range when at work.

Q: QuestionInitial setup only worked w/old router w/security disabled, then moved to main network. Now, ~ every 2 wks. unit sticks in "load" or "net" state, reboots/resets don't help, must configure w/ open net again. Tried all router cfgs. FW still 306/1.28.101871

• A:Answer You won't see anything on the speaker that Bluetooth is synching. Pressing the + and - on speaker will make the speaker visible so your cell and speaker can connect. Go to the Goggle App on your cell for setip. When you see your speaker available as an option to synch to Bluetooth, select it.

• A:Answer You might be able to with the new firmware update 306. I read on here that a lady ask a question in French and it replied in French. You can search for it here and see exactly what she said, but I believe she asked the Insignia if it could speak French with no luck. Then I think she said "Hey Google", got it's attention and just asked a question in French and it worked. So I'd just say the "Hey Google" and ask a question in Spanish right after you get its attention. Might work!

In regards of your concerns I would like to explain that the speaker connects to a network protocol server so We do not control time settings to be adjust up or down dynamically (i.e. 10 minutes ahead of current time) but instead this is set by Google. • A:Answer Do you have a google account? You will need one. You will need to download and install Google Home app on either an iPad, iPhone, or android phone. I assume you must have done all this to setup the basic device (if not do that first). In the Home App touch the three bars on the upper left hand corner. Then touch on music. Now select a music service. For spotify you will need to click on the link icon next to spotify and link your account by entering your spotify ID/Password. As for Pandora, I'm not sure it works with it.
