QuestionNow that Google has released the ability to make calls can this model make calls also?

- Answer Not yet. Apparently it can make your phone ring if you misplace it and ask it to call your own phone, but it can't make domestic calls yet. Hopefully they'll add this functionality soon.

QuestionGoogle home app says that setup is completed however that my device cannot connect to my WiFi. I've already gone through my router settings and the device is showing up as present and connected. I haven't been able to use this at all because of this.

- Answer Hello, We definitely appreciate your purchase and your review! In order to know which firmware version you are on, please follow these steps: 1.- Open the Google home app. 2.- Tap devices and you will find the Bluetooth speaker on it. 3.- Scroll to find the device card for the Google home you'd like to find the firmware version for. Also, I would like to inform you that the device automatically looks for updates daily. If you want to manually update it, do a factory reset and the device will search and download the latest update. Alex C. - Insignia Support.

QuestionHow do I pair this to a laptop with Bluetooth? All my other Bluetooth devices worked with my laptop with Windows 10. This could be a deal breaker and I return this device.

For the Speaker to pair with your laptop, please command; " Hey Google, pair Bluetooth" this will try to find and connect to your laptop. If you would like to do it manually, please follow these steps; 1.- Press and hold the - and + for four seconds to enter Bluetooth-pairing mode. 2.- Select " NS-CSPGASP2" or the device name you entered during Google Home app setup on your device to pair with your speaker. QuestionI unplugged and moved the device to another room, and now it tells me there is a glitch and to try again in a few seconds. I keep getting that same message. Any ideas? Do I need to set it up each time it is unplugged?

- Answer I encountered this and found that it was because my phone was connecting to Bluetooth and it was interrupting the devices boot sequence. Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone and try restarting the speaker again.

QuestionOccasionally my speaker will make a beep and display 20 60? Is there a reason for that?

- Answer I think it has some sort of motion detector to activate the touch buttons on top when something gets close to it. The numbers it displays is probably the volume setting and temperature. The sensor is a little too sensitive and can cause false detections.

QuestionCan anyone get Broadcast to work on this device? I can send, but it will not play a broadcast from another device, while other Google mini devices in my home do.

- Answer When I first got the speakers, about a month ago, I was able to broadcast to them but that stopped about mid December '18. I saw another post that had the same situation so I have to assume an update from either Google or Insignia broke the functionality and hopefully it will return in the future.

QuestionI just purchased this and i set it up but needed to change some options so i reset the factory settings. Now it will not connect to to the cloud at all. Just keeps saying problem connecting to cloud try again later with the google home app.

- Answer One can try to reset ones computer wired router that is connected to ones cable/telco modem; then after it has been reset simply connect one smartphone to ones wired router. Next then start Google Home on ones smartphone and then simply connect ones smartphone to ones wired router and then ones smartphone should then automatically initiate a connection with ones Insignia Google Home clone device; it usually take two to three minutes to go about this communication back and forth process; one also might have to restart ones smartphone and/or Insignia Google Home clone device; but other than that its pretty straight forward process to get initially connected; it just might take a little while to get it all sorted out finally.

QuestionSince this device has Google Assistant built-in, should it be able to control my lights? I have a Wink smart hub with Lutron Caseta switches but when i try to turn my lights on or off it says, "there was an error and I'm unable to control your device.".

- Answer Arely, I have to apologize. I double-checked my other devices and they weren't working either. I unlinked my smarthub and relinked it and now everything is working.

QuestionThe time on mine freezes. For example, the alarm went off at 5:00 am but the clock displayed 4:25 am. It will remain at that time all day until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. That usually works for a couple of days. Suggestions?

- Answer Mine do the same thing, I have 4 of these in my house and they all started doing this about two weeks ago. I have to unplug them them. But it happens again. Did you get a response back that was helpful??

- Answer I know there was a problem with Google connecting a while back. I hate to sound all IT desk, but when I had this problem, I had to reboot the device and it updated drivers. Everything seemed okay after that.

- Answer I don't know when a new firmware update will be released but if you're talking about podcast or Internet radio broadcasting, it'll do that now. The trick is to know how to ask it to do these things. Do a little research... it isn't hard to find the correct way to ask. I can tell you how to get internet radio to play through it... I do that all the time... it's wonderful! As long as you know the four call letters of the internet radio station that you want to hear, just give it the command to play using the four call letters and Wallah... internet radio! Hope that helps!

- Answer on your phone, uncheck these three automatic date and time automatic timezone use 24-hour format reset your speaker by press and hold mic button for 12 seconds until you see solid orange lights use google home app to set up, if the speaker shows "LOAD", that means it's updating the firmware, do not continue on the google home app until that's done.

- Answer According to this post on BB's forums (see link) by Mariah-BBY, this is caused by an unreliable connection to power or a power surge. http://www.forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Home-Audio-Video/Flashing-power-LED-Voice-Smart-Bluetooth-Speaker-Alarm-Clock/td-p/1220555 Other posts here from support seem to say the blinking is a network issue. That said, I have this problem as well. My solution is to cycle power by pulling the plug. Works. The speaker was working as expected at the time I noticed the blinking, so that seems to rule out the network issue as a cause in my case.
