Why does the light on my earphones turn purple and not connect to my phone anymore via Bluetooth? They were charging and stuff but aren't connecting null

That is happening to me too! It's not the normal blue color or the red when it's charging, it's purple and it won't connect to anything anymore. I tried charging it, but now it's constantly blue and won't turn off or connect to my phone. I can't find why this is happening anywhere on the internet.

This happened to me as well. The light was just purple and it would not respond or do anything, it wouldn't even turn off, but then I just plugged it in for a couple seconds until the light turned red. then when I unplugged it, it was fine.

this is the most annoying issue. I held the power button for like 3 minutes until it reset then reconnected to my device and it worked. just hold the button down for dear life. good luck all.

I have the wic400 and a puprle light appeared on mine one morning after charging. I read to plug it back into the usb charger bit that did not work until I unplugged the charger completely from the power source and then plugged the usb charging port in. As soon as I did that the purple light went off and I could turn on my headphones again. Hope this helps.

If youre talking head phones i have these Skullcandy Venue headphones and every once in a while they will do this. What i do is plug in the audio jack and the charging cable and hold the power button until the light turns off.

My Headphones (from SkullCandy) does this to. When it lights purple, I can’t do anything about it! It won’t even turn off. The only advice I can give, is to wait until it’s dead. Sometimes it can take a long time (it had 40 hours battery). I can’t find any information about that “feature” anywhere! Actually my headphones are doing it now, so... I guess I’ll have to wait.
I feel more comfortable when I hear that it’s not only me, who has tried this problem.

It says that the charging cable is not perfect for it. If I would like to charge with quick charger, the led turns purple, and says that it don't like the amperage of the charger/charging cable (2,1 A is too high for it) When I change the charging cable to a cable with lower amperage (1A) the led turns red, and the charging, and the functions working well.

Todd was right. 
Just plug it into a different power source (I used an old USB plug in I had laying around). Then I pressed on the power button for about 5 to 10 seconds. The purple light turned red. I unplugged and tested them. They're fine now. Remember, you get what you pay for. These were a bit pricey, so I figured the "they're dead" comment was wrong and misleading.

This has happened to me twice now and both times I have just held down the power button and volume up button until the light turns off (factory reset) and it will forget any devices it has connected to. Then just charge it for a bit then it turned back on for me both times.

This happened to me yesterday after I tried to reset the headphones  to pair with my phone. I got a steady purple light and couldn't get them to do anything. After reading these answers I decided to unplug from the charger then held down the power button for dear life, as suggested. I held it down for about 20 seconds, the power came on and the light turned red.

So, I have these headphones called OneOdio A10s and I had this issue just suddenly out of nowhere. I tried factory reset, powering it off, charging, and they just didn't work, and I don't have the patience to wait for them to die. So what I did was plug them in and hold down the power button until it says 'pair'. I thought it was something to do with the connection to my phone so I went to my phone and forgot the headphones. The light immediately turned off and all I did was power them back on, reconnect them and there were working again. Hope this helps!

Okay! So I basically eat breathe and sleep these headphones, so I tried everything when they gave me the purple light and didn't work. Here's what I just tried and it DID work: Connect it to your phone with the blue light, and plug it in. Both blue and red light will show. Then power off the headphones and it will charge like normal again and the red light will be there instead. I'm genuinely sorry if this doesn't work!!

I have the jbl reflect flow earbuds. I clicked multiple times on a physical button on my right earbud whilst in case and the light started flashing purple. My left earbud tho was fine but wasnt pairing (although the light was showing that it was pairing). Then i made the same procedure with my left earbud and now it is flashing purple as well! I think that means it’s updating. One of my new buds is doing that now, on the app I had clicked ‘update firmware’ and the constant flashing purple light came on and I couldn’t turn it off, then I read that’s what it does when updating

How I fixed my issue:
1.Hold power off until they turn off
2.Hold the power button until it says power on then keep holding. After which the next prompt will be pairing and the leds should flash both blue and red if your charging while pairing.

No idea why the problem arose to begin with but I was very upset when it interrupted my Megalobox episode.

Not sure what causes this. But to fix it, hold down the power button, plus sign button, and the minus sign button for about 10-15 seconds. The light will turn off and you will be able to power it back on and use them again.

Just had this problem as well. For me, I finally held the power button for about 15 seconds, while plugged into charging (Not that having it plugged in was the reason it worked. Just had it plugged in while trying to ), and it randomly said "power off" after 15 seconds or so. Works as usual now. Weird!

So had this problem and tried plugging it in and stuff. It didn't work. HOWEVER I tried plugging in the cord that comes with most Bluetooth headphones that lets you use them as wired headphones instead of Bluetooth (I use mine when I forgot to charge the headphones), should go in the little circular wire port. I plugged that in to just use them without the Bluetooth and immediately the light turned off and I could restart the headphones again.

So basically what you need to do is to allow new connections by going to the settings then tap on bluetuth and then allow new connections and then you should be able to turn it of and on then(I think maybe for iPhones bluetuth only maybe all tho).

but there are those who lost the instructions just like i did.
and it can be real hard to find the exact same instructions on the internet. i know. 
i've searched the internet for hours on end but came up with a different model.
you may have come back to the amazon site where you bought them just to see if the site could help you with your problem.
and since this question wasn't really answered here,
here I am answering it.
now the problem i had was that when ever I pulled out the earbuds. they would both connect to my phone and laptop. but would not connect with each other.
after some time of testing and searching i finally got them to connect to each other.
you can find out how to get the to connect to each other below: 
(i found this out by trying it. 
it may or may not work for you. 
just give it a try at least.)

answer:
1st. put them back in their case for charging.
2nd. while they're in the case hold your finger down on the 1 earbud that flashes purple while still in the case charging. 
till it flashes blue and red while charging. 
it will shut right off after turning on due to being in the case charging. 
no worries. it's normal. 
3rd. once that is done. pull them out and they should pair together and you can connect them to your device.
(if both flash purple then do it to the 2nd as well.)

The flashing purple/blue LED on your earbuds is only telling you that the earbuds are ready and TRYING to pair (connect) with anything within range that can potentially pair with. Turn on the Bluetooth Pairing function of your phone and see if your phone can see/recognize your earbuds. Sometimes Bluetooth devices can only connect with each other if both of them are in the active seeking mod.
