You are right, need USB to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you just plug the small adapter into a usb port and make sure there are batteries in the keyboard. it should be ready to use then like any other keyboard. it's pretty plug and play really

The small insert goes into a USB port and then you can press (& hold I believe) the power button on the key board. It should automatically start syncing up. I had a little trouble with mine setting it up (only b/c I was impatient and wasn't reading the directions in full sentences. lol) come to find out.. it had synced up the first time and I just did't realize it. But you definitely need a USB port. Sorry.
