I needed these headphones to watch movies on the airplane’s monitors. This is possible only through the wire. Unfortunately, ANC turned off automatically every 5 min. Is this a defect? If not, could I swap it to similar model, which doesn't stop? null

Bad design? I found the solution, but it shouldn’t be that way. 
I paired the headphones to the phone. Now the ANC is always ON and you can use a cable to listen to music or movies from the airplane monitor, and ANC is always ON.
