Probably not they are good noise cancelling so that will help somewhat but they do not amplify the sound

If you connect the headphones to the TV using the 3.5 mm Audio Cable, probably the TV speakers will automatically turn off. Most TVs only support one Audio Output at any time. You could try to use a 3.5 mm Splitter to connect the headphones and a Speaker for the rest of you at the same time. David M. - Insignia Support
