“When I connect these wireless headphones to my iPhone, the volume automatically increases on its own to the maximum level. I have tried to disconnect & reconnect but the same issue continues to happen. It's so loud I can't use them. Thoughts/Suggestions?”

If it's anything like my s8plus, as soon as I connect my headset it goes to a specific sound level, next time you connect try to turn them down via the headset first then the phone. If it still happens I'd warranty them out because they probably are defective. But whenever you change that volume usually it's fine next time you connect to your phone like mine is.
