Hi AppleGirl, we do not recommend re-using an existing cord on another disposer or for any other use. Power cords that are attached at the factory are not designed to be removed. We have a Power Cord Kit model: CRD-00 available that contains all the necessary parts to install a cord on any un-corded InSinkErator garbage disposers.
