• A:Answer Hello Linda. The Pro Plus is the same as other Instant Pot models. It will give a Burn Food error if something is burning or sticking to the bottom of the pot. To avoid this error, always make sure to use the required amount of liquid and always deglaze the inner pot after sauteing.

Q: QuestionDo you have to use the app to operate the pressure cooker?

• A:Answer No. In fact, you can’t do much with the app at all. It’s a huge missed opportunity. It just tells you what mode it’s in like preparing or complete and there’s a notification when it changes modes but you cannot control any settings. You can only control it from the pit itself. The app does have some predefined recipes you can use and that works but in general there is so much you can’t do from the app!
